Emilie Casiez, a Paris-based designer, brings over 20 years of womenswear experience to her role. A Studio Berçot graduate, Casiez founded her own label immediately after graduation, which she ran for 12 years. For the past 8 years, she has served as the chief womenswear designer at Nigel Cabourn, a prominent name in workwear fashion.
At Nigel Cabourn, Casiez is responsible for the entire women's product line development and contributes to unisex collaborations. Her designs, rooted in American vintage and workwear styles, have gained traction in Asia and the US markets. Casiez specializes in trousers, outerwear, denim, down jackets, and shirts, with a focus on casual outdoor wear for autumn and winter seasons.
Casiez's latest collection with, "Woodstock & The French New Wave in the Late 60s," draws inspiration from the iconic music festival and cinema of that era. It features military-inspired clothing mixed with customized denim, reflecting the hippie fashion of the time. The collection combines feminine silhouettes with boyish elements, resulting in colorful and playful designs. This approach caters to contemporary women seeking strong, joyful, and stylish clothing, demonstrating Casiez's ability to adapt historical styles for modern consumers.
