Alessia Calicchio, a 2005 graduate of Naples Fashion Design Academy, quickly made her mark in Italian fashion. She joined Max Mara Fashion Group in 2006, then became chief designer at Gaudi Trade in 2011, where she revitalized their women's line. In 2014, Calicchio founded Re-Project Studio, expanding her role to fashion consultant and freelance art director for various brands.
Calicchio's portfolio spans high-end women's wear to casual clothing, showcasing her versatility. Her designs have gained recognition both in Italy and internationally, thanks to her meticulous attention to detail and ability to blend diverse styles. This broad appeal has established her as a significant figure in the global fashion industry, with her work featured across multiple design concepts.
Her latest collaboration with Fabrique draws on retro-futurism, inspired by 1960s space age aesthetics. The capsule collection features coats, blazers, and lightweight puffers that balance functionality with experimental design. Calicchio's approach, influenced by Victor Hugo's quote "Nothing is more powerful than an idea whose time has come," aims to envision tomorrow's fashion today. This collection represents her innovative thinking, combining practical elements with bold materials and forms to create a forward-looking line.
