A French High School of Fashion alumnus and Fashion Award laureate, shaped a decade at Maison Margiela before spearheading Ann Demeulemeester with his innovative vision.
Sebastien Meunier's collection for Fabrique starts with a 19th-century Napoleon jacket, a lasting symbol of heroism with its gold double-breasted buttons and long tailcoat that squares off the back and straightens the posture, as if putting it on hands you the courage to take on the world. Beyond this antique uniform, the collection keeps searching through Victorian romantic elements, ankle-length tiered skirts that move like they're catching wind, and slender lacing details that carry his signature design language, echoing the aestheticism of Oscar Wilde.
