Background

When Anna Pang unveils her latest collection, you'd hardly guess she's only been in the game since 2011. This Canadian-born designer, who cut her teeth at Parsons before interning at fashion heavyweights like Opening Ceremony and The Row, has crafted a distinct voice in the industry. After a four-year climb, Pang landed the design director role at Assembly New York, but it's her own label, Index Series, that's really turning heads.

Pang's designs are a breath of fresh air in today's trend-obsessed fashion world. Her capsule collections, favored by the likes of Priyanka Chopra and Lilmiquela, blend playfulness with refinement. It's an approach rooted in her Toronto upbringing, where she watched her parents navigate life as newcomers. This background instilled in her a practical yet stylish sensibility that resonates with modern wardrobes. Publications like InStyle and FASHION have taken notice.

At the core of Pang's brand is a commitment to sustainability that goes beyond buzzwords. She's partnered with family-owned factories in China, all boasting impressive certifications (GRS, GOTS, SMETA, and BSCI). It's a choice that reflects both her heritage and her ethics. Pang's not interested in comparing herself to others in the industry. Instead, she's focused on her own path, recognizing that at the end of the day, designers share the same customers and goals.
