Background
Tokyo-based designer Irene Choi built her name at Korean label Andersson Bell, where she led womenswear design across four seasons. Her work leans into deconstruction, collage, and distressed washing, pulling references as varied as Mucha's paintings and Seoul's skyline into wearable pieces. Her designs have shaped a new wave of K-fashion, worn by artists including BLACKPINK's Lisa and Girls' Generation's Taeyeon.
Based in Tokyo, Irene Choi brings an experimental approach to womenswear, shaped by her time at the Korean luxury fashion label Andersson Bell, where she led the women's ready-to-wear collections over four seasons.
Her work draws on deconstruction, collage, and distressed washing, turning references such as Alphonse Mucha's paintings, Peru's Rainbow Mountain, Seoul's architecture, and roadside morning glories into wearable pieces with an artistic edge.
Her designs have been worn by BLACKPINK's Lisa, IVE's Jang Wonyoung, and Girls' Generation's Taeyeon.
