Margaux Dereume’s collaboration with Fabrique begins with her floral art practice. The collection draws on the quiet vitality of modern oil painting, the strong lines of traditional woodblock prints, the raised texture of relief decoration, and the lightness of color illustration. Margaux Dereume works from an independent print studio in Paris, though the space reads more like a painter’s atelier than a conventional design office. Covered with pigments, brushes, and linen canvases, it reflects the way she works: hands-on, visual, and grounded in painting even in a time shaped by digital tools. That choice matters. It gives her prints a sense of depth and movement that feels hand-drawn, not processed.
Her collaborations over the years—including Jacquemus, Aigle, and Repetto—show the range of her language. The work moves easily across brands, but always carries the same signature: rich brushwork, vivid color, and a modern sensibility that avoids looking decorative for decoration’s sake.
