Erasmo Sanpaolo, once a curious kid experimenting with fashion in the living room of his Gioia del Colle home, is now at the helm of bridal and haute couture at Galia Lahav, infusing each piece with a fresh edge. His early fascination with fabrics and art paved the way for a career that began formally when he was just 19, as he pursued a major in fashion and textile design at the European Institute of Design. It was during this formative time that he struck up a significant collaboration with Italian designer Stefano Guerriero, which laid the foundation for a versatile career spanning ready-to-wear and the most opulent of evening gowns.

Sanpaolo's professional path is studded with notable stints at fashion powerhouses. After honing his skills at Max Mara, he brought his creative flair to Versace in 2010, and over the next decade, ascended to lead roles at ELIE SAAB and Pronovias Group, before his current role as the design director at the luxurious Galia Lahav. Each position not only honed his design acumen but also expanded his influence across the fashion landscape, blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary visions. His designs are the culmination of global inspirations and a deep passion for theatricality, reflected in every stitch and silhouette.

Today, aside from his professional achievements, Sanpaolo’s life is enriched by his love for the theater and art exhibitions. His spare time spent absorbing culture translates into a vibrant creativity that fuels his work, making every collection a new narrative waiting to be worn. As he continues to explore and integrate new cultural insights, we eagerly anticipate the next chapter of his design evolution, undoubtedly poised to redefine elegance and sophistication in modern haute couture.
