When Roy Krejberg left his hometown of Silkeborg, Denmark, to study at the Danish Fashion Design Academy, no one could have predicted the global impact he would have. Discovered by Soes Drasbek right after graduation, Roy quickly made a name for himself by co-creating collections that took him around the world. In the early 90s, his work with brands like Dranella, Fais, and Matinique brought him considerable success, setting the stage for his move to Paris in 1994. There, his creative vision meshed perfectly with Kenzo Takada's, leading to a fruitful collaboration on the Kenzo menswear line. When Takada stepped down in 1999, Roy took the reins as creative director until 2002, earning international acclaim.
Roy’s designs are known for blending modern aesthetics with Japanese influences, a combination that has garnered praise from top fashion magazines like Vogue, 1.T, Viktor, and ELLE. After leaving Kenzo, he co-founded a new line with Indian designer Peachoo Datwani in 2004. By 2015, their collections were being sold in prestigious stores like Corso Como, Beams, and Dover Street Market. His knack for creating stage outfits for Lenny Kravitz and his roles as creative director for Ivan Grundah and currently Creative director of KREJBERG Creative Studio Paris leading the future of fashion.
Now, Roy's latest work with Fabrique takes inspiration from nature, focusing on luxurious, gender-neutral coats made from natural materials. These pieces offer comfort and protection against the winter chill while showcasing a rich variety of textures and shapes. This collection is all about balance—between structure and deconstruction, and between physical comfort and emotional well-being.
