With Fabrique since 2020 19works Alex Rotin is a couture-trained fashion designer whose career spans some of the most respected names in luxury fashion. A graduate of ESMOD Paris, he began his journey with formative internships at Kenzo and Karl Lagerfeld, gaining early exposure to both creative experimentation and disciplined craftsmanship.

Background

Alex Rotin is a couture-trained fashion designer whose career spans some of the most respected names in luxury fashion. A graduate of ESMOD Paris, he began his journey with formative internships at Kenzo and Karl Lagerfeld, gaining early exposure to both creative experimentation and disciplined craftsmanship.

He went on to refine his design approach at Nina Ricci, before leading menswear at Jean-Louis Scherrer. These roles helped shape his strong understanding of structure, proportion, and the technical foundations of high-end garment construction.

Rotin later joined the haute couture team at Chanel, where his work further developed within one of fashion’s most exacting environments. This experience reinforced his focus on precision, detail, and timeless design values.

His creative perspective is informed by a blend of Asian cultural influences and classic European fashion traditions, resulting in collections that feel both expressive and controlled. Time spent working in New York added a dynamic, contemporary energy to his work, complementing his Parisian training.

In 2006, Rotin launched his namesake label, marking a new chapter in his career. Today, his designs are recognised for translating couture-level expertise into pieces that prioritise individuality, confidence, and enduring relevance.
