Background
Versace Design Director and McQueen's McQ maestro, transforming luxury at Kering & Capri. Created bespoke designs for Rihanna, Jay-Z & David Bowie's iconic moments.
Stefan's twenty-year international career in luxury design took a significant turn in 2018 when he became Design Director at Versace. Prior to this, he spent 11 influential years as Head of McQ Design at Alexander McQueen (2007-2018), following his role as Senior Designer at Costume National (2003-2006). The progression through these prestigious houses shaped his distinctive approach to combining art direction, brand identity, and fashion innovation.
At both Kering and CapriHoldings, Stefan has led transformative projects that redefined iconic global brands. His technical mastery shows in innovative material manipulation - developing embedded logo patterns, creating unexpected fabric treatments, and engineering complex construction techniques. This expertise attracted high-profile collaborations, crafting custom pieces for Jay-Z, Rihanna, and David Bowie. His leadership style empowers team creativity, turning bold concepts into commercially successful brand signatures.
His collaboration with Fabrique reflects his architectural influences through a modern lens. The pieces balance structured sophistication with fluid elements - clean lines interrupted by strategic metal hardware detailing. The solid color palette emphasizes minimalist tailoring while transforming classic silhouettes into contemporary forms. His focus on technical innovation and practical wearability shows how he's evolving luxury design for today's context.
