Alice McCall began her fashion journey in the 90s London scene, where she styled for stars like Kelis and Marianne Faithfull while creating for major brands including MTV, Rimmel, and Nike. Her work appeared in boundary-pushing magazines I-D and Dazed & Confused, yet it was her personal designs that revealed her true calling. A 1950s-inspired silk off-shoulder dress she made in her spare time became an underground sensation, and remarkably, her styling work helped launch Kate Moss into supermodel stardom.

2004 marked McCall's triumphant return to Australia, where her eponymous label debuted to immediate acclaim. Her designs blend romantic vacation aesthetics with bohemian elements, distinguished by intricate embroidery and distinctive tailoring that caught the eye of Beyoncé, Katy Perry, and Kendall Jenner. British Vogue crowned her collection "the season's most beautiful debut," opening doors to New York and London Fashion Weeks. The brand reached extraordinary heights with 165 stores worldwide and collaborations with Target and Topshop that vanished from shelves instantly.

When pandemic pressures forced her namesake label to close, McCall didn't miss a beat. She partnered with lifelong friend Sophie Marquart to create ALICE, which they affectionately call "Aladdin's treasure."
