Victoria Hill knows exactly what happens when you push yarn beyond its comfort zone. The New York-based designer, who has spent over a decade perfecting her craft, currently serves as knitwear design director at ALTUZARRA, where she forces soft threads into collision with jacquard textures, decorative materials, and layered color combinations. Her technique centers on stretching knitwear's inherent tension, creating pieces that function as wearable art installations designed to provoke thought. Each garment emerges from her understanding that knitwear can be both conceptually challenging and completely practical.
Her career reads like a study in technical evolution. At Marc Jacobs, Helmut Lang, and Calvin Klein's ready-to-wear collections, Hill developed her signature approach to contemporary dressing—creating minimalist pieces that capture how modern women navigate fast-paced lives while maintaining effortless sophistication.
