With Fabrique since 2021 10 works Roderic Wong is a Chinese fashion designer and co-founder of the label RODERIC WONG, working in close creative partnership with designer Rina. Based in Shanghai, the duo have developed a distinctive design language that merges modernist ideals with a nuanced, tactile approach to clothing.

Inspiration

Roderic merges signature blurred prints with pleating techniques: unfocused light and shadow mirror emotions and thoughts, while misty vapors and rain create layers of mystery. Together, they explore the beauty at fashion's mysterious edges with a deconstructive touch.

Roderic Wong is a Chinese fashion designer and co-founder of the label RODERIC WONG, working in close creative partnership with designer Rina. Based in Shanghai, the duo have developed a distinctive design language that merges modernist ideals with a nuanced, tactile approach to clothing.
Wong’s career has been shaped by both creative recognition and commercial experience. He is a recipient of the Star Creation Champion award and the Audi Young Designer Award, and was previously recognised as an emerging talent under F.J. Benjamin. These milestones helped establish his reputation for combining conceptual clarity with market-ready design.
Together, Wong and Rina have presented collections at Shanghai Fashion Week and Singapore Fashion Week, where their work has been noted for its architectural sensibility and refined execution. Their designs have attracted international buyers, including Machine-A in the UK, signalling global relevance beyond the Asian fashion market.
The brand’s aesthetic draws inspiration from Bauhaus architecture—emphasising rationality, structure, and function—while remaining emotionally expressive. Soft colour palettes, precise tailoring, and subtle design details create garments that embody contrast: gentle yet resilient, minimal yet richly considered. This philosophy reflects Rina’s belief that femininity does not require definition as either strong or soft, but naturally encompasses both.
RODERIC WONG’s work has been featured in leading fashion publications including VOGUE, ELLE, and Harper’s BAZAAR, and has been worn by cultural figures such as Qi Yandi. Since joining Fabrique in 2021, the brand has continued to evolve its vision—offering clothing that sits at the intersection of architectural design, modern femininity, and everyday wearability."
